Rise in the air
As the warm sunlight
Reach through layers of leaves.
The chaotic pattern of shadows cast by the branches
Fortunately covers your eyes
So that the brightness of summer
Can’t wake you up.
The bright flare, however,
Does bathe you in a comfortable warmth,
Pushing you further
Into the realm of dreams.
This could last all day long,
Resting away from any need or desire
In this strange feeling of fullness
That the calm of nothingness brings."
