All villagers gather
To celebrate an old festival.
Bursts of joy and laughters
Resonate all over the region.
But observing from the distance,
There’s no way to know
What it’s like
To take part to the festivities.
Stuck in the middle of the lake,
Everyone forgot you were here.
There’s nothing to do
But to read their prayers
Written on floating lanterns."
