Stormy Nights

The perspective in this one is a bit wonky because it's done without instruments. Usually I'd make a draft digitally first to get the perpective perfect, but I don't have a reliable way to tranfer my digital drawing onto paper, so it'd still look shaky once I put it onto paper anyway. And if I can't get rid of this shaky look, I might as well lean into it.

Stormy Nights

“Raindrops drum on the roof,
Without an end in sight.
Their beat
And the creaks of the house
Are the only things breaking the silence
Aside from the periodical thunderclaps that is.
The sounds of a ruthless nature
Striking down with great force
Seem oddly comforting
Here, in your fortress.
You usually sleep well
Under a stormy night sky.”
