Single Bloom

Making the patterns for the vase and the sweater were surprisingly fun steps. The blue I used for the vase ended up looking almost exactly like clay colored with an indigo dye. I didn't plan for it, but that's also a nice surprise.

Single Bloom

"One flower sits atop,
At the peak of its beauty,
Overlooking buds of its own kind.
The colors of its petals,
While still soft to the eye,
Appear as bright
As the light piercing through
A piece of stained glass
Compared to the mud of its fellows
Struggling to grow out of their branches.
But by the time the bouquet blooms
And delivers a splendid show,
One single blossom
Will have withered
And will be thrown
So to not stain the brilliance
It used to carry alone."
