Red Strand
When I tried to take photos of this piece, they were always weird with the texture of the paper appearing way darker than it actually is. I wondered why, and I remembered that the Perylene Green that I used always appear different on scans and photos. It seems like the dark perylene pigment particles got in the dents of the paper and make the photos look horrible.
Red Strand
"It is said that a red strand
Leads towards one’s fate,
But the destiny of many
Looks more like a net
In which they get stuck.
The stained thread
Soaked in the blood
Of those who lived before
And entangled for centuries
before they were even born.
The pristine red yarn
That used to signal a bright fate
Turned into a crimson woven maze
That in which only doom is to be found."
