I kinda just tried things around for the background and it ended up pretty good. One interesting technique I found was to use salt and to wash it off with a spray bottle when the layer has mostly dried but is still a bit damp, it will wash away patches with a lot of salt while keeping the rest as it is. It's how I made those white random spots on the left side. I'll have to try it out with other pigments because like pretty much all techniques in watercolor, the efficiency probably varies a lot depending on the pigment.

“Taking pictures
Of everything that goes by,
Surely it will crystallize
The ever passing moments
And keep them from disappearing.
But they can’t stay forever,
Even captured in photographs,
They’ll end up being nothing
But senseless images on paper.
Over half of them
Won’t recall you anything after a while,
So why not admit
That you don’t need a reason
Other than just enjoying
Taking pictures.”
