Omen Of Summer

This painting turned out better than I thought. It's not my best piece, but there's a lot of interesting things happenning. Like the color variation in the flower, the glowing effect around the flower, or even how the pinky finger blends in with the other finger. There really is a bunch of things I'll have to apply in future paintings.

“As the sun approaches its peak,
The earth covers itself
In a cloak of bright blooms
Glowing yellow
Like millions of fallen sun rays
Growing in any crease they could find.
The rise of this floral legion,
Like the previous years,
marks the arrival
Of the summer’s heat.”
