Fence

I really like the final result of this piece. I first wanted the light source to come from the opposite direction, but I like it better that way because the shadow of the fence really adds something to the composition.

Fence

"Fingers slide across the railing of an old fence,
Making it chime like distant sleigh bells
As the repetitive pattern of metal branches
Rolling under the digits
Numbs their tips ever so slightly
As if a gentle electric current
Was flowing endlessly inside them.
The rust, every day growing more abundant,
Almost leaving no shine
To the once sheeny iron of the fence,
Leaves a small yet noticeable
Dusty sharpness in hand."
