This piece turned out pretty great. I wasn't sure how to adapt blurry elements to my style, but I think I managed it really well, since looking at the piece overall really gives that ou-of-focus effect on foreground elements. Next step would probably be to make things gradually less blurry as they get closer to the focus point, so I'll surely work on that eventually.
“Sun is getting low
But you’re already fast asleep,
Tired from soaking paper in paint.
Ideas pour out seamlessly
But don’t replenish that easily.
They drain all that you see and hear
To slowly grow, like plants in a field
That foolishly deplete the land
Until they aren’t able to sustain.
So dream great,
And feed this mind
So that you will always have enough to give.”
