Blooming Skull

Not my best color composition, but the piece is pretty good on the whole. I think one thing I have to practice is to make the early washes a bit heavier. I find ther lighter parts of the skin a bit too colorless and transparent, so that could be fixed by using colors a bit more rich for the undertones. But I also like how well the colors glazed, that's something I'll have to keep up.

Blooming Skull

“Roots digging in a skull,
Draining from it,
Feed leaves and buds,
Blooming, bursting,
Ever growing.
The fragrance
Hits as a headache,
As bouquets form
From wherever they can,
A painful beauty
That anyone would thrash
Just for relief.”
